Glamis Sand Dunes

I got a call from "Sirhk" that he and his friends from San Diego were pulling together a dune trip. We pull together the AZ contingency and headed to Glamis. 4 guys, 1 truck, 1 trailer and a shitload of stuff!!! I can't believe we fit it all! You would think we were going out for a month!

We got into Glamis after midnight. The San Diego group had a fire going and...... well.......... they weren't feeling any pain. That's for sure! We had some catching up to do. In the morning, we were welcomed by an easy breeze and pure sunshine and all these bikes!!

While we were out riding, we noticed the dunes have dried out tremendously and there was some real soft spots. Johnny had put it down on the this hill and Sirhk thought he would hook it above Johnny on the same dune and dumped it right on top of John and bike. Needless to say we were all laughing so hard our stomachs hurt!

We headed back to camp to round up the rest of the crew. After a couple of primo "Bahama mamas" from our resident bartender extrodinaire we headed to Boarderville hitch'n post.

While we were sitting there, Johnny looked up and noticed Tommy Clowers and his gang having a beer. One of the girls with swore she had met him before.... then remembered a hot tub story with her and Tommy! :D Small world eh?

We all went to the dunes but one of our party. Had a lot of fun drag racing anything. Johnny never lost a race except to one friggen tits rail on his "04 CRF450. On the way back the CA crew seemed to have some problems.

Katie = passed out missed the run... thank GAWD!
Alexis = 2 broken ribs, coughing blood, launched off an 18' vertical
Jake = Sprained or broken wrist, ran over his own leg, not sure how he did that!
Travis = launched off a 40' vertical, bounced and endo'd (sore all over)
and the CHAD..... let this picture speak a thousand words

:(

Sunday we woke to alot of moaning and grunting around the camp. We did 40 miles of dunes on Saturday and we.... well the AZ group were ready to get out and do it again. But first we had to say our goodbyes and help pack up the CA group and send them on there way to the Hospit..... ah... er... home that is!

Here's a good roost shot of Johnny attempting to make this dune!!

When all the sand cleared here's what was left!!! HAHAHAHAHAH! :applause:

This is a good shot of Johnny and Sirhk gett'n it around this bowl!

Johnny kicking a good roost about 60 mph!

This is Sirhk pulling a high speed wheeling out of the bowl!!!

We found a lip to play on... shot of me trying to get some air!

I tried to top my last personal best roost shot... this is pretty good, but not my best. Not sure I really like the Skat Trak Intimadator paddle.....

All in all it was a high octane trip! Super cool to meet everyone from CA and sirhK to give us the invite! I am sore, sunburned, wind burned, tired and an bad case of monkey butt, but I wouldn't change a thing! What a great time!!
